The current activities of the Data Distribution SIG are:

• Organization of the Data Distribution Focus days:

  • InformationDays/AnaheimSept2006: First DDS Focus day. Held in Anaheim, CA in conjunction with the OMG Technical Meeting.

  • InformationDays/WashingtonDec2006: Second DDS Focus day. Held in Washington DC in conjunction with the OMG Technical Meeting.

• Development of a prioritized list of extensions. As part of this effort a survey (survey, survey description) was conducted in February/March 2006. The survey results were presented in April 2006 at the Saint Louis Technical Meeting and will be reviwed again in June at the Boston meeting.

• Creation of materials (whitepapers, tutorials) on DDS.

• Coordination of the creation of a catalog of success stories.

• Maintenance of the DDS SIG Portal
